Concealment Technician (TS/SCI clearance required)

We have an exceptional opening for a Concealment Technician at our cutting-edge facility in Reston, VA, where you'll collaborate with a prestigious Department of Defense (DoD) customer. If you have a passion for textiles or fabrication, and a knack for designing and producing ingenious solutions to meet operational requirements, this is the perfect role for you!


Key Responsibilities: As a Concealment Technician, you will leverage your extensive experience and skills to conceptualize, design, and fabricate state-of-the-art solutions using various fabrication disciplines such as Wood, Metal, Textiles, Polymers, and 3D Printing. With your exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), you will be instrumental in creating concealed devices and furniture that push the boundaries of innovation.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
  1. Security Clearance: A current TS/SCI Clearance with CI polygraph is required, or the ability to obtain the polygraph prior to starting on the contract.
  2. Experience: You should have a minimum of 15 years of related experience. Alternatively, you can have 13 years of related experience with a relevant college Associate's degree, or 11 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree. Your experience should encompass tasks such as scratch fabrication, luggage building, repair, and modification.
  3. Skills and Knowledge: You must be proficient in one or more of the designated fabrication disciplines. Your expertise in textiles will play a crucial role in scratch fabrication, including building luggage such as backpacks, handbags, or portfolios. Moreover, your familiarity with CAD/CAM utilization, laser cutting, embroidery machines, and CNC sewing machines will be advantageous. Skills in leather working, vinyl materials usage, and textiles concealment device production are highly desirable.
  4. Background Investigation: Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the required qualifications, the following skills and experience are highly desired:
  1. Woodworking: Proficiency in CAD/CAM utilization, blueprint reading, and draft modification is preferred. Experience in constructing concealment furniture will be highly valued.
  2. Textiles: Expertise in CAD/CAM utilization, laser cutting, embroidery machines, and CNC sewing machines is highly desired. Skills in leather working and working with vinyl materials will be advantageous. Experience in textiles concealment device production is a significant plus.
  3. Metalwork: Ability to manufacture molds, dies, and reproduce machine parts from existing components is highly desired. Proficiency in traditional welding and cutting techniques, as well as sheet stock manufacture, will be beneficial. Experience in metal concealment device production is a valuable asset.
  4. Polymers: Proficiency in modifying existing parts and components, along with the ability to reproduce manufactured items for repair or modification purposes, is highly desired. Knowledge of working part assembly processes and manufacturing techniques related to polymers is advantageous.
