The Business Analyst will provide technical and analytical support across SharePoint administration, Smartsheet management, and financial/portfolio data analysis. This role supports effective program operations by ensuring data integrity, system efficiency, and actionable reporting for stakeholders and leadership.
This is a remote position, whereas you may be required to report to our company office in Virginia or a customer location, on an as needed basis.
Specific Duties
● Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including user permissions, document libraries, metadata, and workflow automation to ensure secure, organized content management.
● Manage and enhance Smartsheet solutions, including maintaining sheets, dashboards, and automated workflows to support real-time portfolio tracking and reporting.
● Perform financial and portfolio data analysis, including tracking contract funding, reconciling spend plans, and identifying discrepancies or risks.
● Develop, maintain, and validate reports and dashboards; support recurring and ad hoc data calls with accurate, timely information.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to improve tools and processes, streamline workflows, and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
Requirements
● 3–10 years of relevant experience in data analysis, program support, or related field
● Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
● Experience with SharePoint administration (permissions, libraries, workflows)
● Proficiency in Smartsheet (dashboards, automation, reporting)
● Strong analytical skills with experience in financial or portfolio data analysis
● Experience developing reports and dashboards (Excel or similar tools)
● Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
● Effective communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Southpoint Consulting relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, as well as organizational and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000/year. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position and is just one component of Southpoint's total compensation package for employees.
