Electric motor repair shop in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced, full-time or part time, self-
motivated machinist. At least 3 years’ experience with technical knowledge in electric motors, pumps
and gearbox repairs is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for inspection of motor and pump mechanical components for wear and tear such as
housing journals; shafts; commutator; impellers. Perform necessary repairs or fabrication of parts
through machining, welding and other mechanical processes to bring the motor and pumps back to its
working condition and making sure that design tolerances are met and within the industry standards.
Responsible for requisitioning and maintaining inventory of materials and supplies for the machine shop,
such as tools, equipment and replacement parts.
