ERP Technical Services Manager

Overview:
NSS is looking to hire an ERP Technical Services manager that can deliver value to the agency utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations software system to manage its agency finances. Responsible for the management of technical support activities for all Financials software technical services.  To include managing planning, design, development, and upgrades to application, associated subsystems and required interfaces.  Must manage outstanding task lists and ensure issues are resolved professionally and expeditiously.


End client: Hampton Roads Transit
Period of Performance: 1 year, plus 4 option years (5 years total)

Essential Job Functions:

The individual in this role is responsible for participating in the development and monitoring of departmental goals, objectives, and systems, as well as identifying and resolving IT and technical issues related to financial systems. They hold regular progress meetings with departmental management to ensure that software provides the necessary agency information and are tasked with developing and managing a tactical plan for implementing updates, fixes, and enhancements. Additionally, they work closely with various HRT departments to meet customer needs, supervise critical path activities, and assist in aligning IT with business requirements. This role also involves serving as a technical resource, coordinating with different teams to resolve issues, managing direct reports, ensuring compliance with records management policies, and preparing documentation for various audits. Other duties as assigned are also part of the job responsibilities.

Required Software Knowledge and Skills essential to Job Functions:
Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential. Basic problem-solving skills associated with software applications used is expected. Software usage relevant to job duties will be evaluated.
Essential Software Applications:
  • Microsoft – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations AX2012 or D365. 
Training and/or Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience as Technical Manager or Lead in support of ERP Financials Software applications.
  • Preferred Experience - Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations AX2012 or D365.
Licenses or Certificates:
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.  Acquire a Virginia Driver's License within 60 days after the date of hire (in instances when an out of state license is not the applicant's current state of residence).
  • PMP Certification preferred.
