Russian Linguist (TS/SCI clearance required)

We are a dynamic and cutting-edge organization at the forefront of intelligence research and analysis. Our team is dedicated to gathering and deciphering publicly available information (PAI) to provide valuable insights to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and talented Russian Publicly Available Information (PAI) Linguist to join our team at HQ NASIC near Dayton, Ohio. As a Linguist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our PAI research, collection, analysis, and translation efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform audio and/or graphic tasks to process language materials in support of Publicly Available Information (PAI) research, collection, analysis, and translation.
  • Scan, sort, and categorize language materials for Open Source Intelligence analysis and support.
  • Provide quality control review of translations and/or transcriptions of complex and sophisticated written or spoken language materials.
  • Translate technical and non-technical information accurately and efficiently using both the foreign language (Russian) and English.
  • Effectively translate data from the foreign language to English and vice versa to ensure accurate and reliable information extraction.
  • Maintain a current TS/SCI Clearance to handle sensitive information and adhere to security protocols.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate proficiency by scoring a minimum of 2/2 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • A strong command of the Russian language, including fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Proven experience in conducting language-related tasks in a professional setting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to accurately process and analyze language materials.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with translation software and tools.
  • Adaptability to learn and utilize new technologies and techniques in language processing.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
