Currently seeking a Director of Product Sales (DOD Focused). If you are an amazing salesperson motivated by the desire to solve critical challenges facing our customers in achieving their mission goals and looking for something more substantial and challenging as your next step, then this position is for you!
Ideally, you will have solid experience selling mission related software and technology solutions (on-premise or SaaS) to federal government agencies and organizations, particularly in the defense and intelligence space directly as well as through relationships with system integrators.
This role includes meeting with federal agency customers on site, thus preference will be given to those with an active government clearance residing within the DC Metro area.
What you will do:
Lead and drive product sales engagements
Meet and exceed your quota by crafting and implementing plans to win new customers and cross-sell products into existing accounts.
Drive and orchestrate complex sales cycles and work with our internal partners and teams to best serve the customer.
Bring your experience and consultative selling skills to initiate long-standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors.
Understand the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs so you can effectively position and differentiate our products and capabilities.
Engage a programmatic approach to generating new leads and closing complex sales opportunities.
Leverage product knowledge and value cases to create a compelling value proposition with insights into needs of each specific account.
Travel as necessary to meet with customers, and to participate in internal meetings.
What you will need:
5+ years of product sales and business development experience mostly within the federal defense and intelligence space
To be highly motivated and a self-starting producer with proven success targeting and establishing credibility with demanding customers
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to break new ground with innovative products and technologies.
Knowledge or background related to Information Operations; Intel & Analysis; and/or Military Planning and Execution will be beneficial to your success in this position.
Ability to drive all aspects of the sales cycle with the ability to uncover, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
Must be a collaborative team player and quick learner with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Clearance Requirements: Currently hold an Active Secret level clearance or higher.
