Within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) is looking to modernize its operating model for claims processing, including increased use of outsourcing that necessitates the design and stand up of managed services operations and accompanying total quality programs.  . 
We are looking for qualified Quality Assurance Specialists to:
  • Perform tasks as prescribed by a Quality Management System to ensure benefits claims processing meets specific performance targets pertaining to quality, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Use sampling procedures to perform inspections and checks of processed claims, including the correction of any errors and subsequent training of operations staff
Required Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., BS, BA)
  • Prior experience (if any) in areas such as:  Benefits Claims Processing, Quality Control, Performance Measurement, Total Quality
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Ability to be an innovative, resourceful, and collaborative problem solver
  • Strong organization, prioritization, team-work and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically in written and oral situations
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Prior experience with Veterans Affairs and/or medical claims
