A key client of ours has a need for a Junior to Mid level Project Manager working with a team of consultants and federal government stakeholders to support a major Government agency.  We are looking for experience in the area of management consulting, business analysis, and facilitation of large agency initiatives. Support program activities and interact with client personnel, including senior leadership to accomplish multiple program objectives. Must be a US Citizen.
The role requires an individual with excellent communication, organization and facilitation skills to assist the Government client in managing large and diverse programs, including direct support for Government-wide Chief Information Officers.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly committee meetings for Federal CIOs.
  • Provide effective meeting facilitation (including but not limited to the preparation of meeting agenda, schedule, meeting materials, detailed meeting minutes, and follow up on open actions).
  • Develop effective program communication strategies and execution plans using a wide variety of industry proven techniques.
  • Partner with client subject matter experts (SMEs) and assist with development of high quality key artifacts such as business cases, position papers and briefings.
  • Ensure timely communication and interactions with key stakeholders.
  • Apply organization skills to manage, track, prioritize, report, and complete all assigned tasks on time.
  • Ensure all project information is captured and accurately reported in executive level reports.
  • Support the development, tracking, monitoring, and reporting of program metrics.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and issues that would have substantial program impact.
  • Support all program and project support needs as required.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (or completion within the next 6 months)
  • 5+ years’ experience driving IT projects in a federal government environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in client management.
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to work proactively and efficiently with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, facilitation, program support, and organization skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage the delivery and execution of high quality, multiple work assignments on schedule and with minimal direction.
  • Self-directed and motivated with strong organizational, systematic and orderly planning abilities, and high attention to details.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise in using the Google suite of products.
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology.
