Responsibilities:
E3 is currently seeking a Science and Technology (S&T) Policy Analyst with experience in a variety of Research and Development (R&D) policy activities to include developing and supporting the implementation of strategy, and conducting research and analysis on various defense areas. The S&T Policy Analyst will:
 
  • Develop plans, goals, objectives, and resource requirements to meet defense S&T mission needs
  • Provide high-level research, analysis, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluating support on S&T capabilities
  • Develop reports on infrastructure, personnel demographics, and legislative authorities for the DoD S&T community
  • Research and drafting responses to data calls from senior DoD officials and Congress related to the DoD S&T enterprise
  • Manage data requests to entities regarding programs, projects, budgets, and progress
  • Support working groups including managing meeting logistics; capturing meeting minutes; and tracking of action items
  • Perform initial analyses on emerging research and technologies
  • Work with DoD Services to identify long-term requirements for research and development investment
  • Engage with “non-traditional” performers including small business and the venture capital community

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting providing operational support in a professional environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Proven experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders with varying deadlines
  • Experience with Department of Defense research infrastructure including laboratories and other research performers
  • Experience with Office of the Secretary of Defense correspondence templates and guidelines
  • Experience translating technical documents into communications for non-technical audiences
  • An active Secret security clearance or higher.
Preferred
  • Graduate degree
  • 2 years of experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense or similar headquarters level office in the Services
