NSS is currently searching for a Subcontracts Administrator to support our client's Headquarters staff.  The candidate will support staff with the responsibility for planning, coordinating, administering, and monitoring contract performance on government contracts in coordination with Business Operations. Will assist with negotiations and administration of subcontract agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Description:
Provide contract / subcontract administration support for a wide range of DoD, DHS, and Federal subcontracting requirements reporting to the Director of Intelligence. Works as a member of a multifunctional team on contract administration. Position requires interface with other employees to include Office staff and Program Managers who require coordination support on subcontracts, proposals and contact management. Knowledge of subcontracting, drafting and negotiating subcontract agreements is a plus. Working knowledge of FARs and DFARs and government contracts preferred.
  • Provide support to cost/price analysis, negotiations, documentation, purchase order and invoicing maintenance, execution, and interface with functional organizations, subcontractor’s, senior staff and Program Managers.
  • Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions.
  • Works with senior staff and Program Managers to identify, solicit and evaluate subcontractors that meet proposed requirements, including technical expertise and small business subcontracting requirements.
  • Support preparation of subcontractor analysis documentation required for subcontracts. 
  • Supports senior staff and Program Managers regarding information required to complete subcontracts, understanding contract types, subcontract terms and conditions, drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) and other necessary information to perform the subcontract administration.
  • Other support functions as assigned
 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Junior level procurement/subcontracts professional with outstanding communication and organizational skills.  Knowledge of the administration of contracts and subcontract agreements in support of US Government contracts. Applicant must be willing to learn, terms and conditions and achieving growth.
 
Minimum Education Requirements:  Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 
 
Minimum Experience:  1 year contract and or subcontract administration experience.

Clearance: No clearance is required, however the  ability to be granted a US Government clearance may be required at a later time.
 
Desired skills

Prior experience in USG contract administration highly preferable. 
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
Demonstrated experience with negotiating skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment. 
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with FAR/DFAR requirements
