Company is seeking a MASTER SCHEDULER with experience developing, maintaining, and conducting analysis on integrated master schedules (IMS) and integrated master plans (IMP) for business and IT programs in either a federal government or health care setting.  The role will provide project scheduling support across the continuum of: integrate all program activities, associated inter-dependencies, duration's, and resource requirements to construct and maintain a program level IMS. The role will provide subject matter expertise and reporting in scheduling, critical path analysis, and program coordination, and support and mentor government and contractor employees in the development and maintenance of program IMP and IMS, and develop briefings on specific IMS and IMP processes. The role will provide what-if analysis using standard schedule analysis methodologies and potential courses of actions with forecasts and risks assessments due to program changes or external influence showing an impact to critical path. The role will perform analysis on business and IT contractor IMS submissions to ensure compliance with program and contractual requirements.

The project scheduler role will be part of a larger program implementation support services contract in support of an enterprise-wide transformation of VA’s health care delivery system called VHA Community Care. The program will provide Veteran patients with greater access to care through an integrated network of VA health care facilities and community providers in a manner that is easy to understand, simple to administer, and meets the needs of Veterans, community providers, and VA employees. The VHA Community Care Program Implementation Support contract will adapt commercial best practices and principles from payers and providers to help modernize VA’s clinical and business processes and capabilities to successfully transform VA community care and improve the Veteran, community provider and VA employee experience.

This role requires a combination of experience with developing integrated master schedules (IMS), experience with Microsoft Project and Primavera, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

​Tasks may include performing:
  • Integration of all program activities, associated inter-dependencies, duration's, and resource requirements to construct and maintain a program level IMS
  • Provides subject matter expertise in project management and project scheduling.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and reporting in scheduling, critical path analysis, and program coordination, and support and mentor government and contractor employees in the development and maintenance of program IMP and IMS, and develop briefings on specific IMS and IMP processes 
  • Providing what-if analysis using standard schedule analysis methodologies and potential courses of actions with forecasts and risks assessments due to program changes or external influence showing an impact to critical path
  • Performing analysis on business and IT contractor IMS submissions to ensure compliance with program and contractual requirements.
  • Excellence in oral and written communications (briefings, presentations, and client ready documentation). A writing sample will be a requirement of the interview process.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications and represent the company at client progress meetings and briefings.
  • Prepare progress reports and client briefings.
  • Prepare quality client deliverable s.
  • Excellent teamwork.   
  • Help to plan and execute program within client governance structure.   
  • Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on tasks.
Required Skills and Experiences:
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Project Management Professional or Associate certification
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in project scheduling.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera scheduling software.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to define, collect, and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make logical decisions.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
