Systems Engineer/Advisor (Navigation/Combat Systems)

Calling prior Navy Officers, Chiefs or Engineers! We are in need of a Systems Engineer with experience in the navigation or combat system space. This is a long-term and permanent position offering solid benefits and the option to work remote a few days each week. Onsite work to be performed at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC.
We are looking for someone inclined to advisory-centric positions who is self-motivated and eager to make a difference by bringing all of your past and current Navy knowledge to the forefront!
Clearance: Active Secret required
About The Position:
Acts as primary advisor in the field (both program or technical).
Provides input on new capabilities and new tech, as well as evaluating and researching.
Contributes at the strategic level by building out roadmaps and capabilities evaluation planning.
Acts on behalf of the Lead Systems Engineer in technical meetings.
Acts as an Action Officer for special projects.
Completes action item tracking management from tasking to field activities and other supporting roles.
Schedule analysis (not IMS development).
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience.
Completed bachelor’s degree.
Active Secret clearance.
Ability to work onsite that the Navy Yard 2-3 days a week.
Navy ship system knowledge (navigation or combat system)
Ability to execute technical tasks such as System of Systems level block diagrams.
Understanding and working knowledge of Risk Management Framework
Ability to pull technical documentation and instructions to conduct research.
