Network Engineer - JNOSC

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our work depends on a Network Engineer joining our team to support JSP-ETM activities in Arlington,
VA. Due to the type of access this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed.
The Network Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining network
devices (switches, routers) of data and communications networks as part of the Service Restoral Team.
The candidate will work with Shift Manager, Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians, and the cable team to
resolve customer impacting network outages, network changes and activation. Install, configure systems
to user environments and maintain/monitor communications network devices. Provide Tier 3 support to
the Network Operations Center (NOC). Support local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
Analyzes, monitor network topologies, traffic, and capacity requirements. Provide technical support and
troubleshooting of routers and switches. May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to
minimize customer impact. Other duties as assigned.
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday - 22:00pm - 06:30am
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Clearance
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA or higher)
Commuting Environment certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent
combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
3+ years of directly related experience in network administration.
Hands-on experience with the Network Administration data and voice communications networks
Willing to report onsite as indicated above
